The kaigarajima Lighthouse. and the  nearby shoal.
The Kaigarajima is the closest point of disputed Northern Japanese Territories.

There seems to be 20 to 30 Sea Lions lying on the shoal. There are also 10 White-tailed Sea Eagles behind them. There might be a dead body of Sea Lion or something on the shoal which has attracted eagles.

We have just started the seabird cruise operation of this summer. This is the special bird-watchig cruise which features especially northern seabirds of Japan.  For reservation, please contact 0153-27-2772 .
Today, we had a very foggy weather, but beautiful breeding Rhinoceros Auklets, Spectacled Guillemots, Red-faced Cormorants, and a Brunnich's Guillemot and a lot divers(looms) could be watched. We also believe breeding Tufted Puffins & Horned Puffins will be here in the area called "Ochi-ishi" in Nemuro, Hokkaido very soon.
